COVID-19 Emergency Response

Extended Learning & Development

Summer Starts Now!!!

Our ELD Summer Program is inclusion-based. Siblings are welcomed.

Fun filled, yet focused on academic, social, and personal skill development,

with daily recreational, cultural, and exploratory opportunities, and surprise visits

from a few hometown heroes. For kids of all ages.

As local and state leadership attempt to get our community moving again, we want to be a part of making that happen. Over the next several weeks our community will begin returning to work, while our schools remain closed. We have heard from many of those we serve that this creates a bit of a hardship. In response to the need, Autism Charlotte will soon open our Extended Learning & Development program for children with autism (grades K-12) and their siblings. The program will operate as follows.

Dates: May 18, 2020 - August 21, 2020 (End date subject to change based on school start date)

Days: Monday - Friday

Times: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM

Location: 2541 Elkwood Circle, Charlotte, NC 28205 (Near Garinger High School)

Due to the current state of crisis, we are offering the service at a special COVID-19 Emergency Response Rate of just $85 per child, per week. Please note that this is a 50% reduction in our normal summer tuition, therefore no additional scholarships or discounts will be offered, and the stated rate is good for the above dates only.

We know there will likely be lots of questions related to operations, health, and safety. Instead of attempting to answer those questions here, we will conduct information sessions to explain the program and answer questions. To receive an invite to one of these sessions, please email us at

Our initial capacity is limited to 15. The pre-application process is now open and assessible via the link below. Please note that pre-applications will be considered on a first come first serve basis.
